Project ECOGROW: Young Eco-Champions Turn Waste into Wealth
“From Waste to Wealth” became a reality through Project ECOGROW, an inspiring initiative led by the members of the Earth Lovers’ Club, on June 22, 2026.
Demonstrating that sustainability is best learned through action, our young eco-champions transformed environmental awareness into meaningful impact through the production and promotion of organic manure created by vermicomposting.
On this day, The Future Foundation School proudly hosted a Special Green Stall during the Special Award Ceremony and Sports Award Ceremony. The stall showcased the Earth Lovers’ Club’s eco-friendly initiative and provided students with an opportunity to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for sustainable living with parents and visitors.
The students confidently explained the process and benefits of vermicomposting, highlighting how biodegradable waste can be converted into nutrient-rich organic manure that supports healthy plant growth while reducing environmental pollution. Their ability to communicate the importance of sustainable waste management reflected both their understanding of environmental issues and their commitment to responsible citizenship.
A key feature of the event was the introduction of a 250-gram trial pack of organic manure, made available at an affordable price. Parents and visitors interacted enthusiastically with the students, asking questions and learning about eco-friendly gardening practices. The stall became a lively platform for discussion, awareness, and community participation.
The initiative received an overwhelmingly positive response. Parents showed genuine interest in the project and enthusiastically supported the students by purchasing the trial packs. Their encouragement not only contributed to the success of the event but also inspired the students to continue their efforts towards environmental stewardship.
The success of the Green Stall demonstrated the power of collaboration between students, teachers, and parents in promoting sustainable practices. Beyond the sale of organic manure, the event helped spread awareness about waste reduction, composting, and environmentally conscious living.
Organic manure produced through Project ECOGROW continues to be available at the school sales counter, and feedback from the school community is warmly welcomed. Such suggestions will help the students refine and expand the initiative in the future.
