As exciting as it is to finish school, the joy often gets subdued by the
anxiety and apprehension of an uncertain academic future. Students and
parents find themselves fretting over an endless array of subject
options/career options, best institutes and popular courses all the
time. We, at TFFS not only aim at preparing students academically but
also in guiding them towards a rewarding and satisfying career. It is
imperative for students to identify their aptitudes, interests, career
goals and aspirations in order to make well-informed decisions regarding
their future educational path. The school has arrangements for providing
counselling services to the students for their career development,
psychological well-being and to help students select the right stream
and the right college across the globe.
The school organises orientation sessions with the students of Class
VIII and counselling sessions for the parents of students of Class X to
help them in selecting the stream. Institute of Career Studies, Lucknow
(ICS), which has an international presence and experience in pioneering
career guidance and counselling services conducts the ‘Career Launch’
programme for the students of Classes IX and XI by the reputed
institute, that comprises the following:
* Aptitude Test
* Seminar and Introspective Session with the students
* Individual career counselling
* Seminars with Parents
The students of the senior classes are exposed to different career
avenues, academic and professional courses, through workshops and
seminars. Separate interactive sessions are organised in different
subjects to give the students the opportunity to meet academicians and
professionals specialised in their respective fields to help students
get a better understanding of the prospects in different subjects. The
students also get a wonderful opportunity to interact with our alumni
who are studying and working in different fields, as they are specially
invited to give talks on these areas.
In association with ‘Student Outreach’ the school also organises
Education and Career Fair which provides a unique platform for students
to explore the potential study paths, engage with education/industry
experts, gain firsthand knowledge about different courses, the admission
process, scholarship programmes, placement opportunities, etc.
The school is also collaborating with FIITJEE to ensure that the
students get the opportunity to elevate themselves in aspects related to
critical thinking, logical reasoning, aptitude enhancement, time
management and prepare themselves for various competitive examinations
like JEE, IOQM, NSEP, NSEC, NSEQ, NSEJS, NSEA, NTSE, etc and for the
entrance examinations leading to prestigious colleges including but not
limited to IITs, NITs, IIITs, IISc, IISER, NISER, ISI etc. In addition
to the scholarship provided to the students on the basis of the
Admission Test for the FIITJEE programme, the students of our school
will be eligible for an additional scholarship over and above what the
student has earned through the Admission Test.
