Mental Aptitude Olympiad
Our school proudly participates in the Annual Mental Aptitude Olympiad conducted by LogIQids, an initiative by IIT–IIM alumni and associated with Techfest IIT Bombay. The inter-disciplinary assessment is designed to enhance students’ critical thinking and reasoning abilities, skills that are essential for academic success and aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020.
For the past four years, our students have actively participated in this prestigious platform, consistently demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Many of our students have qualified for the final levels and have been awarded medals and certificates, bringing pride to the school.
NABET
The Future Foundation School received NABET accreditation in 2012 from the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET), recognising its commitment to maintaining high standards in education, governance, and continuous improvement. NABET functions under the Quality Council of India (QCI), which is an autonomous national body established by the Government of India to set benchmarks and promote quality standards across various sectors, including education, healthcare, and industry.
The school is managed by a Managing Committee under the School Trust, which oversees strategic and administrative functions with representation from key stakeholders. A Core Committee, including faculty members, handles day-to-day operations and ensures smooth functioning, reporting to the Managing Committee.
The school follows a well-structured system of key processes such as admission, teaching-learning, examinations, co-curricular activities, safety, budgeting, and complaint handling. Each process has defined procedures, monitoring methods, and review mechanisms to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement in line with NABET standards, thereby enhancing the overall functional efficiency of the institution.
PISA for Schools
The OECD conducts the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), a globally recognised evaluation that assesses how effectively 15-year-old students apply their knowledge of Reading, Mathematics, and Science in real-life situations, while also examining social and emotional skills.
The Future Foundation School was among the first schools in India selected for the inaugural cycle of PISA for Schools in 2024–2025, making India the 17th country to join this international initiative. Our students achieved outstanding results, scoring significantly above the OECD average across all three domains and earning recognition within the global PISA community. This achievement reflects the school’s strong emphasis on experiential, competency-based learning, continuous teacher training, and progressive educational practices supported by initiatives such as NABET accreditation.
Participating in PISA for Schools has provided valuable international benchmarking and deeper insights into student learning, helping us further strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application skills. The success also greatly boosted students’ confidence and global readiness.
The second cycle of PISA for Schools was conducted in 2025–2026, and the results are awaited.
Project SHINE: Transforming Assessment for Holistic Learning
In a rapidly evolving world, education must prepare students not only with knowledge but also with the skills to think critically, collaborate meaningfully, and adapt to complex challenges. Employers, higher education institutions, and society increasingly seek individuals who can innovate, lead, and make ethical, informed decisions. Traditional assessments, however, often fall short in capturing these essential dimensions.
Our school is proud to have been part of the Mock and Pilot phase of Project SHINE, an innovative initiative by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. We are delighted to share that our students performed commendably, reflecting their growing ability to apply learning in meaningful and practical ways.
A Shift Towards Competency-Based Learning
Unlike conventional assessments that focus on “What do students know?”, Project SHINE emphasises “What can students do with what they know?”. This competency-based approach highlights the application of learning in real-world contexts and nurtures essential skills such as problem-solving, communication, and creativity.
Aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, CISCE has envisioned
key stage assessments at the end of Grades III, V, and VIII to track student progress at crucial learning milestones. As part of this year’s pilot, assessments were conducted for students in Grades III, VI, and IX, offering valuable insights into learning progression across stages.
Students were assessed across a range of competencies aligned with the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE, 2023), the National Curriculum Framework for the Foundational Stage (NCF-FS, 2022), and the CISCE curriculum. These assessments encompassed both cognitive and social-emotional domains, ensuring a truly holistic evaluation.
By embracing competency-based assessments through Project SHINE, our school is not only aligning with national educational priorities but also leading the way in progressive education. This initiative strengthens our commitment to nurturing future-ready learners equipped with the skills, confidence, and values needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. We believe this journey will continue to enrich teaching-learning practices and support every student in reaching their fullest potential.
