Vision & Mission

  • Our Mission

Our purpose is to provide holistic education to my pupils where academics is complemented by co-scholastic activities like painting, craft and music, fitness activities and yogasana.

  • Our Vision

An educationally empowered nation, where the young can dream and translate their dreams too. They should grow up to be strong, resilient yet humble human citizens.

  • Philosophy

Children need to be nurtured in an atmosphere of love by parents & teachers in close partnership. Sleep and meal habits have to be sound. Teachers & parents have to set an example & live by them.

"Childhood is the symbol of the future and the hope of all victories to come."
The Mother

The Core Promise of Arun Nursery School

  1. Values

Following the educational principles of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, Arun Nursery School promises to inculcate the values of love, respect, compassion, inclusiveness and empathy. The entire design and methodology is child-centric – so as to bring about a holistic development- academic, social, emotional, psychic and the vital through a well-structured, diversified educational programme.

  2. Qualities

To encourage healthy diet, early sleeping and waking hours and reading habits and exercise for an overall healthy development of the child. To encourage the children to develop qualities of self- discipline, confidence, teamwork, leadership and the spirit of adventure.

  3. Environment

To make the children conscious of their immediate environment, be appreciative of their culture, traditions and festivals while being able to accept diverse and alternative views of the world. To provide them with curated guidance and ample opportunities to facilitate the development of children into principled, reflective and self-directed learners. To provide learning opportunities, activities and experiences to appeal to the children's multiple intelligences, thus helping them to develop a diversity of perspectives and skills.

  4. Infrastructure

To provide state-of-the-art facilities, technologies and infrastructure to optimize teaching and learning outcomes. To provide a safe, secure and conducive learning environment where the children can evolve with a twinkle in their eyes and a smile on their faces, to give them the wind beneath their wings and the courage to dream about infinite possibilities. Each child is given personalized care, attention and guidance and this is only possible because of the conducive classroom atmosphere, very low student teacher ratio ( 22:1).

  • I love children and started as a Computer Science Teacher at Pratt Memorial School three decades ago. I moved to this institution first in administration, and took over the reins as Principal, some seven years back. It has been unforeseen and exhilarating, and I continue to enjoy it, notably the company of my pupils.

  • I dream of happy children and happy educators, enjoying their respective work routines, in harmony and balance with their environment. I want each person to understand himself or herself, at the same time respect others, their views, their outlook, their culture. Each one must blossom like a flower and be happy to be part of a beautiful garland.

  • There is not enough pride in the teaching profession. I work closely with my colleagues, appreciate them at every juncture, counsel them whenever they need help, and try to knit together one happy family.

  • As mentioned before, I love children and love to share their journey, their story. Being an educator has facilitated and allowed me to be part and parcel of that.

  • I see a lot of restlessness, impatience and violence around me. As a responsible and proud citizen of my country, I want to groom my students in collaboration with their parents so that they can calmly take on the restlessness and transform it into positivity.
