Our French Department is committed to providing our students with holistic educational experiences that foster global citizenship and cultural awareness. Recently, our Class 6 <\/span>students had the distinct privilege of participating in a bilateral cultural and linguistic exchange program with La Providence, a distinguished French school located in Vendenheim, a commune in the culturally rich region of Alsace in the North-East of France. Partnering with an institution in this specific area offered our students a unique perspective on a region celebrated for its distinct European heritage. The participating French students are members of a dedicated culture club at their school, which brought a genuine enthusiasm and established a wonderful foundation for our partnership.<\/span><\/p>\n

This initiative was carefully curated to broaden our students’ horizons by facilitating direct interaction with their international peers. Through video conference sessions, the exchange provided a structured platform for mutual learning. Our students proudly showcased their culture, engaging their French counterparts in presentations and discussions in French about differences within the school system,<\/span> our festivals, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

In return, they gained valuable insights into French culture, exploring mainly the regional differences within the country, as well as an opportunity to practice communication and spontaneity in French through direct conversation and questioning. Through this exchange, our students not only met French speakers but also other students with their own interests and points of view and discovered differences and similarities between French and Indian culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

Programs of this nature are instrumental in developing adaptability and a broader worldview among young learners. The successful completion of this exchange <\/span>highlights our students’ exemplary conduct and eagerness to learn on a global stage. We extend our sincere gratitude to the faculty and students of <\/span>La Providence<\/span><\/em> and look forward to sustaining this valuable international partnership in the academic years to come.<\/span><\/p>\n

A significant pillar of our French programme is the preparation for the DELF (Dipl\u00f4me d\u2019\u00c9tudes en Langue Fran\u00e7aise) and DALF certifications, internationally recognised diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education. These certifications are aligned with the CECRL \/ CEFRL (Cadre Europ\u00e9en Commun de R\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour les Langues \/ Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), the internationally accepted framework used to assess language proficiency across listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Our approach to DELF preparation extends far beyond examination training. Through immersive learning experiences, cultural exposure, interdisciplinary activities, and consistent skill-based development in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, students gradually build the confidence and competence required to succeed at international standards. The department takes immense pride in <\/span>nurturing students who not only achieve excellent results in these examinations but also develop into articulate and globally minded communicators. One such inspiring example is Rishabh Paul, a student of our school who recently cleared the prestigious DALF C1 level at a remarkably young age and is now preparing for DALF C2.<\/span><\/p>\n

The French curriculum is thoughtfully designed in alignment with both the ICSE syllabus and the competencies outlined in the CECRL \/ CEFRL framework. This integrated approach enables students to gradually develop communicative proficiency and cultural understanding while simultaneously preparing them for internationally benchmarked examinations such as DELF. As a result, students benefit from a balanced and progressive learning experience that combines academic excellence with practical language application.<\/p>\n

What sets our program apart is the emphasis on immersive and experiential learning. Throughout the academic year, students benefit from a range of workshops, ateliers, and interactive discussion sessions conducted both in-house and externally by French-speaking resource persons. These sessions provide invaluable exposure to native language use, cultural nuances, and contemporary perspectives, making language learning dynamic and relevant.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recently, our Class 6 students had the privilege of participating in a bilateral cultural and<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n

On Sunday, October 12, 2025, five students from Classes VI and IX of The Future Foundation School participated in the singing competition Idole Indienne, organised by the Indian Association of Teachers of French (IATF) in collaboration with the Institut Fran\u00e7ais en Inde. The event was hosted at L\u2019Institut de Chandernagor in the historic city of Chandannagore.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The students, accompanied by their teachers, travelled by train \u2014 an exciting first-time experience for several of them. Upon arrival, they were filled with joy and pride at the opportunity to represent their school and perform in French before a distinguished audience.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

When he landed on the Moon, Neil Armstrong is known to have famously said that one small step for a man was actually a giant leap for the entire humankind. A genuinely great achievement by a single human being is not only meant for the self or for a particular segment of society or even for a particular country. It is meant for the entire humanity. This profound philosophy was brought home to the secondary and senior secondary level students of The Future Foundation School in a unique way on October 10,2025.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Future Foundation School was selected as one of the few institutions across India, to participate in a special live interaction with Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, a distinguished officer of the Indian Air Force, accomplished test pilot, and the first Indian to visit the International Space Station as part of Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4). The session was organised by CISCE to celebrate the Group Captain’s birthday. The Future Foundation School was privileged to be selected to directly pose a question to this real life hero during the event.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In the profoundly enriching interactive session, Group Captain Shukla came across as a grounded and humble individual, notwithstanding his monumental achievements. With his personal charisma, disarming smile and impeccable articulation, he was able to connect with all the young and inquisitive minds effortlessly. His precise portrayal of various processes and experiences during his mission thrilled the students and held them in rapt attention. The questions that were posed to him subsequently were deep, meticulously researched and covered some very significant aspects of space research and its application in the betterment of the planet, its resources, climate and environment. Group Captain Shukla’s profound patriotism and humanism came out beautifully when he narrated his epiphany on looking at his motherland from space and his realisation that despite all sectarian and national fault lines, the planet Earth remains ‘the home’.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

At the conclusion of this deeply absorbing and enriching programme, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla advised the students to remain curious, dream big and never to be intimidated by challenges or changes.
