A proud moment for The Future Foundation School! On July 11, the Investiture Ceremony 2025\u201326 of the Interact Club, under the aegis of the Rotary Club, marked the formal induction of our young leaders into roles of service and responsibility.<\/p>\n

The solemn oath-taking was followed by the pinning of badges and sashes by Rotary dignitaries, symbolizing the students’ commitment to leadership, empathy, and active citizenship. Inspiring speeches by Rotarians and students highlighted the power of education as a tool for social change.<\/p>\n

Adding to the celebration, TFFS was honoured with the Literacy Excellence Award at AIMS (Annual Interact Meet for Schools) for its impactful Aurokul initiative \u2014 providing non-formal education, computer literacy, and mid-day meals to village children.<\/p>\n

This dual milestone \u2014 the investiture and the award \u2014 reflects our unwavering dedication to nurturing socially responsible youth and fostering inclusive education.<\/p>\n

This recognition celebrates Aurokul, our non-formal education initiative, which has been nurtured with dedication by the members of the Interact Club to create a meaningful and sustainable impact in the lives of children through education, care, and community engagement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shaping Imagination: A Clay Relief Workshop Inspiring Creativity and Discovery\u2728<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Aesthetic Appreciation Club organized a Clay Relief Workshop on 7 May 2026 for the students of Classes VI and VII, creating a space where young minds could explore art through touch, imagination, and play.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop was conducted by Sagar Sarker, an alumnus of TFFS and a doctoral researcher in Buddhist Studies. Alongside his academic pursuits, he has devoted years to the fine arts as a self-taught artist mentored by reputed sculptors, bringing both sensitivity and thoughtfulness to his artistic practice.<\/span><\/p>\n

The students worked on six-inch clay tiles, shaping relief compositions with their hands. For most of them, this was their first experience with clay. What began as curiosity soon transformed into quiet concentration and excitement. Tiny fingers pressed, carved, and moulded the soft surface into flowers, faces, patterns, and imaginative forms.<\/span><\/p>\n

This direct interaction with clay created a deeply organic and sensory connection for the children. At a time when entertainment often comes through screens, cartoons, and games, the workshop reminded students of the joy that comes from creating something by hand. The experience encouraged patience, observation, focus, and self-expression in a natural and enjoyable way.<\/span><\/p>\n

The enthusiasm shown by the students was truly heartwarming. Each clay tile reflected individuality, innocence, and creativity. Some students worked boldly, while others explored gently and thoughtfully, yet every effort carried meaning and sincerity.<\/span><\/p>\n

More than an art activity, the workshop became a memorable experience of mindful learning and creative discovery. It demonstrated how art can quietly nurture confidence, imagination, and emotional connection, leaving a lasting impression on both the minds and hearts of young learners.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2728Art Across Generations: Class VI Explores Parama 2026 at Aumorto\u2728<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The students of Class VI recently visited Aumorto, the senior citizens’ facility at Uttarbhag, Baruipur, on June 19, 2026, to view Parama 2026, an exhibition of artworks by women artists from Kolkata, organised by the Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The exhibition showcased a variety of paintings that encouraged the students to observe closely, think deeply, and respond creatively.<\/span><\/p>\n

After exploring the exhibition, the students were invited to share which painting they liked most and explain their choice. They came forward with great enthusiasm and spoke spontaneously about the colours, themes, emotions, and stories they discovered in the artworks. Their thoughtful responses demonstrated how art can inspire imagination and personal reflection. They also had the opportunity to meet some of the artists and learn about the ideas and inspirations behind their works.<\/span><\/p>\n

A special feature of the visit was the interaction between the students and the senior residents of Aumorto. Several residents joined the discussion, sharing their favourite paintings and explaining why those works appealed to them. This exchange of ideas created a warm and engaging atmosphere in which children and seniors listened to and learned from one another. The students gained new perspectives, while the residents enjoyed the energy and curiosity of the young visitors.<\/span><\/p>\n

The programme concluded with a drawing workshop inspired by the exhibition. Children and senior residents worked side by side, creating drawings based on their impressions of the artworks they had viewed. This collaborative activity encouraged creativity, communication, and mutual appreciation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Introducing children to art exhibitions from an early age is important because it develops observation skills, creativity, empathy, and confidence in self-expression. <\/span><\/p>\n

Art helps young minds understand different viewpoints and encourages independent thinking. Equally important are opportunities for interaction between generations. Such experiences foster respect, understanding, and a sense of community.<\/span><\/p>\n

The visit to Parama 2026 was a memorable celebration of art, creativity, and togetherness, demonstrating how meaningful connections can be built when people of different ages come together to share ideas, experiences, and inspiration.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2728Project ECOGROW: Young Eco-Champions Turn Waste into Wealth\u2728<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

“From Waste to Wealth” became a reality through Project ECOGROW, an inspiring initiative led by the members of the Earth Lovers\u2019 Club, on June 22, 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Demonstrating that sustainability is best learned through action, our young eco-champions transformed environmental awareness into meaningful impact through the production and promotion of organic manure created by vermicomposting.<\/span><\/p>\n

On this day, The Future Foundation School proudly hosted a Special Green Stall during the Special Award Ceremony and Sports Award Ceremony. The stall showcased the Earth Lovers\u2019 Club\u2019s eco-friendly initiative and provided students with an opportunity to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for sustainable living with parents and visitors.<\/span><\/p>\n

The students confidently explained the process and benefits of vermicomposting, highlighting how biodegradable waste can be converted into nutrient-rich organic manure that supports healthy plant growth while reducing environmental pollution. Their ability to communicate the importance of sustainable waste management reflected both their understanding of environmental issues and their commitment to responsible citizenship.<\/span><\/p>\n

A key feature of the event was the introduction of a 250-gram trial pack of organic manure, made available at an affordable price. Parents and visitors interacted enthusiastically with the students, asking questions and learning about eco-friendly gardening practices. The stall became a lively platform for discussion, awareness, and community participation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The initiative received an overwhelmingly positive response. Parents showed genuine interest in the project and enthusiastically supported the students by purchasing the trial packs. Their encouragement not only contributed to the success of the event but also inspired the students to continue their efforts towards environmental stewardship.<\/span><\/p>\n

The success of the Green Stall demonstrated the power of collaboration between students, teachers, and parents in promoting sustainable practices. Beyond the sale of organic manure, the event helped spread awareness about waste reduction, composting, and environmentally conscious living.<\/span><\/p>\n

Organic manure produced through Project ECOGROW continues to be available at the school sales counter, and feedback from the school community is warmly welcomed. Such suggestions will help the students refine and expand the initiative in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

Project ECOGROW stands as a shining example of how small actions can create meaningful change. By transforming waste into a valuable resource, our young environmental ambassadors have shown that a greener future begins with awareness, responsibility, and collective effort.<\/span><\/p>\n

Van Mahotsav Plantation Drive*<\/strong><\/p>\n

As part of the Van Mahotsav celebrations (1st\u20137th July), the Earth Lovers\u2019 Club organised a plantation drive at Aumorto on Thursday, 2nd July 2026. Students, along with the residents of Aumorto, planted numerous fruit tree saplings that will one day grow into life-nourishing trees, promoting a greener and healthier environment. The activity highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and community participation.<\/p>\n

Cultural Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event also featured a heartwarming cultural programme in which residents of Aumorto recited poems written by Amit Sir, along with some of their own original compositions. Their performances reflected creativity, confidence, and a deep appreciation for nature and life, making the session both enjoyable and inspiring.<\/p>\n

Hands-on Vermi-composting Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students were given a practical demonstration of the vermicomposting process under the guidance of Krishnokoli Ma\u2019am. They learned how biodegradable waste is converted into organic compost and actively participated in packaging the finished vermicompost. The session provided valuable insights into sustainable waste management and was a truly enriching experience for all.<\/p>\n

The event successfully combined environmental action, cultural exchange, and experiential learning, making it a memorable and meaningful initiative for everyone involved.<\/p>\n

\u2728\ud83c\udfa8 Tradition Comes Alive: Students Discover the Art of Santiniketan Alpana \ud83c\udfa8\u2728<\/strong><\/h3>\n

On July 2, 2026, students of Classes VI, VII, and VIII participated in an enriching Alpana Workshop conducted by artist Ms. Sanjukta Paul, a student of the renowned artist and Alpana designer Sudhiranjan Mukhopadhyay, whose work carries forward the rich artistic legacy of Santiniketan.
\nThe workshop introduced students to the unique aesthetics of the Santiniketan School of Alpana, where motifs are inspired by the beauty of nature\u2014flowers, leaves, birds, vines, and other organic forms. Unlike brightly coloured decorative art, Santiniketan Alpana embraces a subtle and harmonious colour palette, reflecting simplicity, balance, and a deep connection with the natural world.
\nWith great enthusiasm, the students explored traditional patterns, learned the significance of different motifs, and experienced the joy of creating their own Alpana designs under expert guidance. The session was not only a lesson in art but also a journey into Bengal’s rich cultural heritage.
\nWorkshops like these play a vital role in a child’s holistic development. Practising Alpana enhances observation skills, creativity, patience, concentration, and fine motor coordination. It also encourages children to appreciate indigenous art forms, develop respect for cultural traditions, and express themselves confidently through visual storytelling. Working together on designs further nurtures teamwork, communication, and mutual appreciation.
\nThe workshop beautifully demonstrated that art is much more than decoration\u2014it is a language of culture, imagination, and mindfulness. By engaging with the living tradition of Santiniketan Alpana, our students discovered that creativity flourishes when it is rooted in heritage and inspired by nature.

The students of the Aesthetic Appreciation Club of The Future Foundation School had the enriching opportunity to attend the inaugural ceremony of the ‘Freedom’ Exhibition at Aumorto on 3 July 2026.<\/p>\n

The event featured a thought-provoking interactive session where participating artists, Aumorto residents, and the students shared their reflections on the many dimensions of freedom. The residents recited poems and presented heartfelt writings, offering deeply personal perspectives on the theme.<\/p>\n

The students enthusiastically interpreted the artworks that resonated with them, engaging in meaningful conversations with the artists, who revealed the inspirations and stories behind their creations.<\/p>\n

Several Aumorto residents also contributed their unique insights, making the interaction truly enriching.
\nInspired by the exhibition, the children expressed their own understanding of freedom by creating original artworks, celebrating imagination, individuality, and creative expression.<\/p>\n

The visit was a memorable journey into the world of art, empathy, and reflection, reinforcing the power of creativity to inspire dialogue and broaden perspectives.<\/p>\n
